Contract Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit. FLSA: Non-exempt
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must have experience with computer operating software such as: Microsoft office suite, to enter computerized logistics information and daily work tasks performed into the CMMS system.
- Ability to accurately read, write and understand inventory numbering system.
- Ability to issue and correctly document shipping of inventory items.
- Ability to take physical inventory of warehouse parts, furniture, fixtures, equipment and Facility Services vehicles.
- Ability to drive Facility Services commercial vehicles.
- Ability to read, and speak English fluently.
- Valid Maryland Driver’s license.
- Ability to input information into a computerized maintenance management system
- Willingness to become forklift certified within thirty days of employment
- Willingness to be cross trained in other areas of logistics (to include but not limited to: Mailroom duties, “pony” mail delivery, HVAC filter deliveries).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain communications with the Inventory Technician on personnel and work related issues.
- Assist in the maintenance of WCBOE warehouses and inventories using appropriate equipment and logistics.
- Maintain multiple warehousing organizations and inventories.
- Load inventory supplies and deliver to proper storage areas throughout the WCPS system.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties.
- Identify inventory items, located their storage area and place new inventory in correct location.
- Receive inventory items - (read receiving paperwork, identify receiving item, count number of items received, store received item in correct location).
- Identify, label and collect items to be shipped from logistics warehouses and mailroom.
- Generate physical inventory of Facility Services parts, furniture, fixtures, equipment and vehicles.
- Pickup, document movement and deliver inventory items.
- Emergency pickup and delivery of inventory items from local vendors.
- Maintain regular on-time attendance.
- Perform related work as required.
